Welcome to my Narrative Project page! In this page, I will post the drafts of my Narrative Project.
I wrote some narratives in my previous ESL (English as a Second Language) classes, but they were just practice for writing a paragraph and essay. Also, I did not learn how to focus on one short moment and expand on the scene like a literary work. Therefore, I did not need to look back on my old memories and straggle to write about them.
Recently, I wrote several narratives to my blog posts. For example, in blog post #3; Composing an Emotional Scene, I wrote a short narrative about my first trip to the United States. I looked back the day and tried to describe my emotion such as excitement and nervousness. In fact, I wrote a long period of the event even though I needed to focus on one short emotional moment. Thus, after I noticed it, I got depressed a little bit. In blog post #4; Composing an Emotional Scene with Dialogue and Symbolism, I was able to focus on one short moment and expand on it. After I posted this blog, I got many reaction from my classmates. I did not expect them, so I was very happy. Also, these comments rose my motivation for writing.
Moreover,in blog post #5; My Narrative Project: A Wizard-of- Oz Journey, I answered some questions relate to the first draft of my narrative project and realized how it was an important event in my life. I didn't write blog post #6; Fairy-Tale Performance. This is because we won the first prize of in-class game show, and this assignmentbecame an optional. In blog post #7; Midterm Reflection, I reflected about my experiences in this class by answering four questions.
